Service Description

This group class is taught by BFDA Independent Contractor, Darlene Olshansky. Class meets 4 consecutive weeks on Sundays at 2 PM April 2, 9, 16, 23 In this class we introduce you and your dog to training together with positive reinforcement. The skills we may teach and or use in class may include sit, down, come-when-called, stay/release, and introductory level targeting. We will emphasize the core foundation of attention and focus on the handler. Our goal is for you to leave this class knowing how to teach your dog “all the things” and how have fun doing it. We keep our class sizes small to create the optimum learning environment for both you and your dog. This class is appropriate for dogs over 6 months old. Dogs must be comfortable working on leash in proximity to other dogs. This is not a class for reactive dogs. WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: • Water, water bowl and poop bags • High value treats and treat pouch. You will need both hands free in this class. • 6’(max length) leash • Flat collar, Gentle Leader, Halti or harness (no shock, choke or prong collars allowed) Your spot in a class is confirmed after receipt of payment, class form (and vaccination records at least 24 hours before class). Form can be found on our website (under REGISTRATION/Forms). Please send a signed copy of the form, along with your dog's vaccination records, via email to info@bestfriendsdogacademy.com or via U.S. mail. Failure to provide vaccine records at last 24 hours before class may result in the loss of your spot in class without refund. The vaccine requirement is a State Law and we take it seriously to protect all dogs. Thank you.

Cancelation Policy

GROUP CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY If a group class is cancelled due to weather conditions, or the Instructor is sick, a make-up class will be scheduled for one week following the last class session at the same time. Individual make-up classes (in the event that you are unable to attend an individual class for a session for which you have already registered) will not be scheduled. Please check your calendar in advance, we do not offer "partial registrations" for multiple session classes. 72 hours notice, prior to the first date/time of a group class session is required for cancellation and refund for that group class session. ***Your registration fee will be refunded MINUS the paypal and/or bank processing fees. Refunds for registration fee for a group class session will not be made within 72 hours of class start or once the session has begun. If a class has only one dog/handler team registered for it, the class will be cancelled. You will be contacted and your payment applied to a different group class. ​
