Coaching sessions are held virtually via Zoom or at your home. We teach you to train your dog. Working together, we discuss canine body language, how dogs learn, and positive reinforcement techniques while making it fun for everyone to set goals and reach them.

ABOUT
Philosophy:
Positive reinforcement and humane training techniques are used as we work with you and your dog(s). We start with meeting the dog where he is and making forward progress from there.
Offering virtual and in-person private training and behavior consulting, we work with you to help you learn how to teach your dog what you want from him. By improving your understanding of and how to more effectively communicate with your dog(s), we work together to help them become well behaved at home, as well as when out and about in our community.

Best Friends Dog Academy is owned and operated by Liz Ford. Liz is a certified dog trainer and is credentialed with the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Trainers, the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, she is a certified Family Dog Mediator and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She has over two decades of experience in the fields of animal welfare, animal training, and behavior consulting. She helps owners better understand their dog's behavior and behavioral needs, and teaches owners how to get good, desirable behaviors for the long term. She uses science based, ethical training methods that provide insight and fun learning for all.
